I feel better about humanity believing this is the case.
This is however the second top answer in a 5 year old thread about if it’s okay to touch the terminals on your car battery. And nobody seems to think this would be a bad idea to leave up.

I know they say don’t stick knives into a power outlet, but forks are just fine! My cousin did it multiple times and said he got a funny tingling sensation.

The dude probably is a crusty old mechanic or electrician. My experience with folks who started in the pre-safety era (say 85 or earlier) is that they DGAF Andrew it ain’t an injury unless you’re dead.
